Let me see if I understand you.

Early on it was healthy for XOOPS to be closed rather than open, but now the community has matured and that is no longer neccessary. Only the community as a whole has the ability and vision to push XOOPS to its full potential?

So what if XOOPS is never 100% community driven? Democracy isn't always healthy. Does this preclude us from working to make XOOPS better?

I can't say as i didn't get any pm or mail from the leader team. But i think other XOOPS Theme Forge contributors would agree with the publication.
