Some of my members hav reported recieving the "Sorry, you don't have the permission to access this area" message when they shouldnt have, then getting logged out of their account.

Does anyone know why this could be happening?

make sure they have proper permission in your module.

tell them to add your site to their trusted sites list in their firewalls..

and make sure that their firewalls aren't blocking http header referrals. especially if using zone alarm, or norton firewall/internet security..

we have tried a number of things to fix this but some members are still getting "logged out" of their accounts when ever they interact with the site.

you can also try GIJoe's "remember me" hack, this will help keep them logged in, but if the permissions are funky, then it probably won't help with that. Is this a new site with the bug since inception, or is it a new bug, and if so, have you made any changes, XOOPS version upgrades, etc?
