New user registration problem...

I am running 2.2.2. Many new users are complaining of not able to register and getting this; "Sorry, your password must be at least 3 characters." Passwords inputed were at least 3-characters and matching also. Other users were successful but few are not.

Why? I did searches in XOOPS but did not find the answer.

I turned off the xoop protectors and still no avail.

Any suggested solution is very much appreciated.

login to your XOOPS admin the goto system>> preference>>User Info Settings then change the minimum password requirement 3 to 1 if you like

I would also suggest upgrading to 2.2.3 final, lots of bug fixes over 2.2.2.

Great suggestions! I went ahead and upgraded to 2.2.3 final. Many of the other lingering problems were solved. Thank you!
