Does Xoops 2.2.3 accept old News database?

Hi everyone,
I presently have a XOOPS site which uses the XOOPS core 2.0.7.1 and has news module 1.2.1 installed.

I have now created a new XOOPS site which uses the XOOPS core 2.2.3 Final in a different directory and has news module 1.4 .

If I backup my old database from the old site and put it into the new site will the news items still work? (I mean have the column titles been changed in the database or will they work fine. Does anyone know?

Many thanx for any help given to a learning XOOPS student.

the news tables are unchanged, or the news module will import them itself.

Sorry to bother one more time.

Not counting other modules I had installed, does the same rule apply to the general XOOPS core?

i.e. have the table columns for the general XOOPS properties remained the same in the new version since version 2.0.7.1 or have they changed?

No, the same does not apply to the XOOPS core. There have been changes in the database in version 2.0.x and 2.2.x. Please carefully read the apgrade information.
