Hi!

1. How do I update my xoops? And wich version shall I update to? I have 2.013, I installed tru cpanel and I can update to 2.013.1 with cpanel, but onley if

"Click on Upgrade only if
- no files, languages, themes have been modified
- you haven't added mods to this installation of Xoops"

And I have done that, so how do I upgrade manually, Without destroying all my settings and removing any modules?

2. How do I upgrade the modules, for instance xfguestbook, shall I delete the folder on my server, upload the new version and click update this module in xoops? Or do you do it some other way?

Please help me.

Regards Martin

Re: update xoops and some modules

I would suggest you first see the XOOPS system Upgrade Flash Tutorial, it will show you how to update manually.

As for modules, read the documentation that comes with it, usually it is just a matter of uploading the new files then updating the module in the modules administration panel, or it could involve using an upgrade script if database changes take place.

For the latter type of upgrade see the Newbb 1 to 2 upgrade flash tutorial., it shows running the script as well as updating in the administration page.

HTH.

2.0.13.2 is the most stable, and most modules work with it.
