Blog style commenting in xoops.

I found out that blog style commenting is more effective and more encouraging compare to XOOPS where you need to click on a button "post comment" to comment.

For blog style, you can just see the comment form box at the end of it. and that make more ppl comment.

Now how do i do that? any quick hack to do this?

A good question, I´m also wondering if this is possible? Don´t really like the comments function as it is today. You can deside if the comments should be active or not, why don´t have an option to deside how the comment layout should look - as it is today or the comments fields direct under the news, the blog etc.

Be very careful here. I just changed my wordpress blog commenting over to the XOOPS commenting because XOOPS is more secure against spammers. From the modules I've seen, the blog style commenting is nice because it's so easy, but that also makes it open to spammers. There are solutions like blacklists, confirmation buttons, random codes, but these all have drawbacks and eventually the spammers work around them. I was doing so much anti-spam admin that I finally gave up and shifted to XOOPS comments which in my experience is SPAM-FREE!

Actually one idea i've passed to developers is to replace comments with the option of your own choice of forum instead...
