I am facing the challenge of creating a publication (let's call it a 'newsletter') where a significant portion of the recipients do NOT use the Internet. For the portion that do, I would like to build a site (using XOOPS) to create a fairly typical special-interest site with members and guests. However...

Is there a process (module, something) that would allow me to select content from the web site and then very simply print (yes, on paper!) a newsletter and mail it out to those members requesting this method of communication? I am trying to avoid re-formatting content between the on-line world and the paper world.

Some of the on-line content may not be included in the paper newsletter, but ideally the admin could select what was and was not included and let the XOOPS system flow the content in to a print template...

Thanks - I am hoping for some insights from the experienced users here!

Try using this

Articles module

It's a simple but powerful document management module.

You can create your newsletter easily. When viewing the newsletter, press the 'print' button to open a new print-friendly page and to send it to the printer.

You would then have a printer-friendly version of your newsletter and a record of your newsletters as an archive.

You would have to enter (copy/paste) the newletter information into the newstter but a WYSIWYG editor should make that relatively painless.

good luck!
