Edit welcome message for new members?

Can anyone tell me how I can edit the welcome message that includes the activation link when new users registers on my site?
Do I have to do it in my database or can I edit it through XOOPS? If it's in the database, what table do I go for???

You can add new block from admin panel > Blocks

I think what he/she means is the welcome msg send within the mailform after registrering and with the activation key.

If I remember well look for the file:
root/language/english(whatever language you are using)/mail_template/register.tpl

You can edit it the way you want!
