Adsense and Image in Same Block

Hi,
I am trying to add an image and adsense code in the same block. When I select content type=HTML, the adsense shows properly, but the image shows as:
[image]/mysite/uploads/img4399b2f94e219.jpg[/img]
When I select content type=autoformat, the image then appears properly, but the adsense code disappears.

Anyone know how I can get an image and adsense to show properly in a block?

change: [image]/mysite/uploads/img4399b2f94e219.jpg[/img]

to: <img src="/mysite/uploads/img4399b2f94e219.jpg" />
