Hi all,

I'm still a newbie aorund here.

I'm interested in having a book list. Could somebody verify for me that Book Lists 0.8 works with the latest XOOPS version?

What is "latest version" for you? For me - XOOPS 2.2.x doesn't exist as production platform....

You would be better working with 2.0.13.2 at the moment, as most modules are compatible with this release.

Hi David,

Looking at my Admin area, it says it's powered by 2.0.

I'm really confused about this whole module business. Some modules don't seem to have been updated since early 2004. If you have u=such a module and then upgrade, you run the risk of losing access/useability to that module? I can't get my head around how a XOOPS powered website stays stable for users/visitors.

Modules normally don't need to be updated, unless theres new features required - or in the case of compatibility issues.

Hiya David,

That what I was wndering about, compatibility. If a module is no longer supported by it's creator, and you're using it, and it's no longer compatible with a new XOOPS version, are you basically stuck?
