xhelp. Can I turn off email notifications?

Is it possible to notify users by PM, rather than email, that a response has been added to their ticket?

The reason I am asking is that I think xhelp would be ideal for a client who wants to run a 'personal problems' help desk. In this situation however, the email notifications are inappropriate.

Ideally I would like the user to be able to choose which method is used, but failing that, can email notifications be disabled?

Peekay,

I don't see a way of doing this without modifying the module. You may want to post this on the xHelp Dev page as either a feature request, or to see if Ackbarr can guide you on how to do the hack.

This is possible just by having the user change their notification method in their XOOPS profile.
