how to add <more> tags in news?

I've seen the code for this somewhere in these forums - basically I want to know what I need to add to make a news article automatically append it's text and add 'click here for more' to the bottom - someone just posted the html tags you add and it worked great, however I've lost the note I made!

Can anyone tell me what I need to add or where that post was!?

I think you can just use the [pagebreak] tag. For some modules and situations, you have to use [extend] tag and then [pagebreak]
