i just installed the News module, which works fine.
! problem: i can not edit news, not thru the edit link on the news page (logged in as admin all the time), not thru the administration pannel.
I am getting a sorry, no access message: Sorry, you don't have the permission to access this area.
In module settings i have set View, Submit, Approve settings (no edit option though)
all is up2date, latest version.
apache, php, mysql, all ok
what am i missing?

Do you have "Can Author Edit Story" set to Yes in Preferences-->News?

I think so; I've always had it set to "Yes," so I'm not too sure.

EDIT: You should be able to edit just about everything as an administrator.
