News 1.43 Images?

I'm using news 1.43 to present topics on my site, however I'm trying to get it to show a different image on the homepage for each news topic - much like the icons for themes, modules etc that appear on xoops.org.

I've uploaded images - through the news interface and it shows the icon when I look at the correct topic in the topic manager however they simply don't appear on my website - is there some option I need to click to 'show images'?

I can't see any such option in blocks, news module, news settings etc - though I imagine if I've slected an image in the news topic it should show!

Visit http://www.cgenie.net to see what I mean - the news topics list great, but I'd like an image to appear there!

has anyone been able to get images to appear with news?

Did you check "Display Topic Image?" in submit form?

yes - that makes it appear when I click on each news topic - but I'd like it to appear on the lists on the main page - eg when I'm listing the most recent 5 topics?

Hm, one simple solution is to set News module in Preferences Main »» General Settings »» Module for your start page.

hmm well that works, but it doesn't really help as the articles are quite long and it makes a bit of a mess of my homepage! At least I know it's the module and not me as the pics are appearing fine if I do it that way!

Does anyone know how I could get recent items with the top image appearing with an icon as in http://www.bbc.co.uk ? Is there another module that does this? Even just a little icon that never changes like xoops.org would be an improvement? Does anyone know which module they use?

You'd probably have to use one "Recent News" block per topic and set each block to display only its respective topic.
