xComics (or gallery) for webcomic?

Has anyone had any prior experience in using a gallery system or xComic to display a webcomic? I realize the original intent of xComics is to display comics.....but it might work if the download link for 2.0 RC1 wasnt broken on the XOOPS site. I havent tried using a gallery system yet, I just wanted to see if anyone has had any relevant experiences.

I run a webcomic and I use xcGallery module; but this is just a personal preference since I don't display the webcomic as the mainpage. The xcGallery module allows me to create chapters complete with a thumbnail of the cover.

This may not be for everyone though.
