I am doing a XOOPS 2.2.3 site which will give news, etc., for several communities. The idea is to have a separate page for each community with just the stuff for that community on it, like news, events, community specific forums, etc.

The News module topics might be set up as follows:

Community A
--News
--Births
--Obituaries
Community B
--News
--Births
--Obituaries

...and so on.

I might, for example, set up a MyPage module for Community A. When you go to the page, I would like you to see just those news categories pertaining to this community.

I could, of course, put any topic page in an iFrame within, say, the MyPage module, but it would display the whole page--left blocks, right blocks, center blocks, header, and footer--all in the center block of the community page. The "Recent News" block can be set up to show only particular categories, but that is not what I want. I just want what would normally be in the center block of a particular category (or categories) page(s).

Is this an unrealistic goal? If not, I would be appreciative of any suggestions as to how it might be accomplished.

Or, if you think there is a better way to make each community's news viewable w/o that of the other communities, please offer an alternative.

I'd be interested to see how that turns out. I'm working on something similar here and here, but not as detailed as yours.
