hi ,

i'm totally beginner with xoops.

my site use "normal" configuration: left colum with a menu, center column with different blocs or module, and right columns for more blocks.

i add a forum module to my site. i find it very small when it is surrounded by left and right columns.

i want it to span thru left , center and right column.
the header contains a menu so the user can access all the site.

is this easy to do ? and how ?

Thanks,

plokiju

Hey there

Not sure if I fully get you on this post.

Can you clear this up please:

Quote:

Are you saying that your theme or other is already using a menu at the top of the page?

If so then all you need to do is make the main menu, user menu and whatever other blocks you have, set to Not Visible

If you have not got a working top menu yet, then I suggest you check the module repository as it will include a module called multimenu which I believe the later versions allow you to make menus for the top of the page.

Hiding blocks is not hard.

I am assuming you have the latest version of Xoops.

Goto Administration Menu
Click Blocks
Click List All Blocks
You should see these options:
Block Description Title Module Side Weight Visible in Action

You can choose to make a block visible or invisble by changing the option under Side
You can change which page blocks are displayed by changing the Visible In option, in case you would just like to remove the menu from the Froum but keep the side menus for other pages..

If I missunderstood you, can you please try to explian your question again.

Hope this helps you a little.

Dave

thanks for this answers.
it will certainly help me. at least help me to understand more .

the thing that i don't esplain well is that the top menu is not so "complete" . you can select "home" and you will find back the right menu with everything.
