Happy Sunday, Folks.

Sorry for the newbie question here:

How often does the backend.php refresh/rebuild the RSS feed from the news on the website?

I just posted a new article in the news module and checked the RSS feed... no dice.. still the old stuff.

Cheers!

How often do you have the rss refresh rate set for?

OK.. didn't know that I'm the guy who controls that..

I'll go poke around and see what I can find.

Thanks.

From past experiences, I know that settings can vary from one rss/xml syndication module to another. But the longest lag time I've seen is about a minute. The backend.php should publish immediately, though.

I'm searchin' the admin portion of my site, looking for the control on how often the backend.php regenerates the feed. Maybe I'm smokin' crack here, but I can't find it. Can you kick me in the right direction, by chance?

Thanks.

You won't find it there; I think that I mistakenly assumed that you were using one of XOOPS' modules to syndicate your site. Sorry about that. But the backend should still be virtually instantaneous. What's the cache time for your news module set to in your admin section's General Preferences?

Yeah... no specific Cache time set for any module... the RSS refreshed after a little while.. no big deal.

Thanks for headin' me in the right direction.

Cheers!
