folder name should be myReviews with a capital R

the zip should uncompress as that.

i don't know.. it's been down for a long while.. and i haven't seen riaanvdb online in ages either :S

of course

1st thing i'm gonna work on is to get all the pages templated and move the html out of the php code..

(i'm not a coder but learning slowly) so any help would be much appreciated.

Indeed. That's what it uncompressed as, and that's when it first crashed and damaged the mySQL database.

I tried changing the name to different things in an attempt to get XOOPs to recognize myReviews as a module.

It does not work as;

/myReviews
/myreviews
/myrev
/reviews
/rev

Any ideas?
