I have noticed on the XOOPS board here that ther is an option to Mark all Topics as read...

But on my forum that is XOOPS I am unable to find out where this is.. or do I have to download some form of addin.??

Which version of the newbb module are you using now ?

at http://cbb.getituponline.com/ you can get the newest version of this module. Make sure you get the right version for your XOOPS version though !

Thats what I have at the bottom of my forum mate... am a noive at this as it was a friend of mine that got it up and running for me..

Am I ok to just download what you suggested, install it and it will not lose any posts or make members re-register..

For XOOPS 2.0.13.2 you will need CBB 1.15

Follow the instruction in the readme.txt carefully and you should be fine. There is an upgrade script you will need to run and you won't lose any posts in your current forum.
All this does is update your forum (newbb) module so members will not have to reregister.
