Lost Koivi functionality after upgrade to 2.2.3

After upgrade to XOOPS 2.2.3 I have lost ability to use Koivi editor in News1.41. Editor loads up fine but there is no ability to write, when you click in a text window a '|' doesn't show up and you can't enter text. What I noticed also if I open an old text the text wont be visible in Koivi editor even though if you submit it it will be shown in news section. If I disable Koivi and use dhtml editor it works fine and I can edit/see text.

I assume it is some permission problem but cant figure where these permissions might be set for it. All files do belong to right user.

I updated another site and this problem does not appear. So it is not a bug in code, just something in my setup...

xoops 2.2.2 upgrade to 2.2.3
php5
no php errors, no db errors.

I've come across a similar problem with koivi since upgrading to 2.2.3. Fails on all the modules with the error

Looks like the problem is a little different in your case. There are no php errors on my side.

What version of Koivi are you using?

Thanks! Right after you mentioned Koivi link I remembered that I had upgraded Koivi editor a couple of weeks ago. During an upgrade to 2.2.3 I saw there were changes to Koivi editor folder, but it did not click my mind!!! Well, I guess I should remember next time that those replaced files were for an older Koivi editor and this one is still in Beta2 and XOOPS developers include older version of Koivi editor.

Question now, should Core include Koivi editor? I know this has been asked gazillion of times and answered. Everyone has it's own opinions.

I better start making documents of what changes I have done to core files because remembering them is pain in the butt when you upgrade to newer one.

Another problem down.

I see errors at the top and bottom of the report. I've also tried downloading the latest koivi (beta 2) with the same result. Seems I'm missing something at the bottom.

Never mind I found the problem. I disabled XOOPS physical path and XOOPS virtual path in the mainfile.php. While the site remained active koivi or any other editor would not work other than the default. Sorry for waisting your time.

plz confirm so that it won't confuse others: there is no problem with koivi in XOOPS 2.23 Final package.
