How do you place pictures in articles? I can upload the pictures no problem, but the only way I have been able to place them in the articles is by using a reference to the url of the picture. There must be a much easier way, I am sure......

What module are you using?

In any case, the standard way to include an image in an HTML page is by referring to it's URL.

I'm not sure what the problem is, it sounds perfectly normal to me...

After I upload the image I get a pop-up that shows me the images I have, I just thought there was some easier / quicker way then having to go to my cpanel, go into my file manager and find the file so I can use the url to place the picture.

XOOPS has its own built in image manager, which may simplify the process marginally. There are instructions on how it works in the XOOPS Operations Guide.

Basically, you can use this to upload your pictures and to insert the URL automatically when you want to use them. The only annoying thing is that it always pastes the URL down the bottom of the page you are working on, so you have to move it.

(BTW: Anyone know how to hack it to insert at the cursor point?)

mmmmmm, I have been going into the file manager to find the url, I was not able to get the correct one from the image manager but maybe I was missing something. Better try again, thanks.

I can't seem to get the right url from the image manager pop-up. I get something like thishttp://freeblogssite.com/imagemanager.php?target=text&cat_id=1#[/img]

When the only way to get the picture to show is finding the url in the uploads directory.

Am I specifying an incorrect path somewhere?
