One of the modules I have does not work with 2.2.x. Namely the system will not read the language files, BUT if I put the lang files into the global lang file then it works just fine.

Anyone have any ideas on this one?

Thanks

Thanks for all the help guys. It means a lot to people that support XOOPS so much that you help them out.

This is to be a bunch of people helping each other out, for me since I am not a programmer I do what I can to help out with installs for people and give advice if I know what I am talking about and even a donation every month.

In return I would expect some help from time to time somewhere from someone. Instead when I come to xoops.org now all I see is people posting GIVE ME MORE FREE!

Like now 7 members online and 149 guest that are just looking for free stuff. Maybe we should lock the support forums down to members only or maybe even make it no support to anyone unless they are giving something back such as time or donations to keep this project going.

Sorry for venting but I have been trying to find help on this module for months now and it seems the time and money I dontate to this XOOPS gets me nothing in return.

Think about it guys you have to GIVE to get. I am tired of giving and not getting ANYTHING.

Arowana,

I'm sorry you haven't received more help with your problem. Unfortunately, I'm not a php programmer either, so I'm not sure I'll be able to help with your problem. However, providing the following information *might* be what is needed to get someone more knowledgable to help.

Module Name:
Module Version:
PHP Version:
MySQL Version:
PHP Debug output:
MySQL Debug output:

Best Regards,

Module Name:xRoster
Module Version:2.0
XOOPS 2.2.x
PHP Version: ANY
MySQL Version: ANY

xRoster 2.0 does not read from the modules Language files if it is installed on XOOPS 2.2X. If you merge the modules language files into the global.php language files then the module works.

That is the only thing that I have not been able to fix

Thanks for any help you can provide. I am willing to pay someone $50.00 US if I need to. I just would like this module fixed.

I don't know if this is the answer, but from what I can see, the 'language' files are only included from 'admin', they need to be also included in .../modules/xroster/index.php
