Hi all, (sorry if this is in the wrong section)

2 Q's if I may...

I'm using version 2.0.9.2 and want to upgrade to the latest version.

1) Do I have to upgrade to 2.0.10 then upgrade to 2.0.12a then to 2.0.13??? this looks real time consuming to me and a lot of hassle if this is the case.

2) If I do upgrade. so that I don't loose any information that I have on my 2.0.9.2 should I do a full backup/download of my SQL?

Many Thanks

Yes, you will need to upgrade each step. And always always Always backup before any upgrade. You should be doing regular backups anyway.

JD, not seen you in ages dude!.. anyway, thanks for your help... I'll give it a go on my 56K lol...

If I just backup the MySQL, that'll fix things if they go wrong wont they?

Mostly, but a file backup every once in a while for extra saftey.

Hello again

I've downloaded all the upgrade patches but I am finding it very tedious... I broke my right wrist (no funny comments lol) and need as little work using it as possible, but I am right handed

So,... if I just do a fresh and full download of version 2.2.1 can I just update my new one with the info
(all the galleries, comments, newbb2 forums, games etc)
from my old sql?

No. 2.2.2 does update to the database tables. You must upgrade to 2.0.13 before running xoopsupdate.php to upgrade to version 2.2.2. Bare in mind upgrading to this version may break some existing modules that do not follow the XOOPS API for database calls.
