Hi,

I run several 2.0.X XOOPS website and decided to try the 2.2.3rc1 fro a new one I have to install.

All the installation step went fine until the screen "Please choose your site admin's name and password." Where nothing happen when I select next.

Any idea ? Shoudl I stick with 2.0.x for the time being ?

Thnaks a lot,
Franck

I am getting the same thing with 2 versions 2.2.2 and 2.2.3

I get to the Please choose your site admin's name and password.

and after I click insert data I get a blank page

than trying to investigate the problem I changed the url
from
http://domain.com/home/install/index.php
to
http://domain.com/home/

just to see if it installed i get this error
hope this helps with finding the reason for this glitch

Hi,

Even if XOOPS 2.2 seems to show interesting new fgeatures, it seems not to be mature enough to be used today and we should better switch back to XOOPS 2.0.x.

Do you share my point of view ?

Thanks,
Franck

I have the same poblem and I can guess the reason from apache error log: child process segmentation fault.
At the moment, I have no time to investigate why this happens, perhaps version compatibility problem in XOOPS/Apache/PHP?
