Your title was causing a horizontal scrollbar even on high resolution screens. Please do not use such long titles. I have trucated your title so it does not stretch the homepage.

We will not use an URL rewriter here on XOOPS.org untill it is part of the core. And Google likes xoops.org just fine, we have no trouble getting indexed at all... That doesn't mean there's no need for a URL beautifier, and that it will not have positive results on webspiders, but the effect for XOOPS.org is rather small.

If you're asking if short URLs are possible, the answer is yes. Take a look at XOOPS Tips for more information.

If you're asking if it's possible to automatically truncate titles, I do not know. Hopefully someone will reply who knows for sure.
