To the best of my knowledge, there is no smarty variable for sending a user's password. This would be a security risk to have such a variable. I'm bumping this thread in the hopes that someone who knows for sure will reply.
If it's an issue of a user loosing their password, they can just use the lost password feature in the login block or on the login page. If you're wanting send a user activation link, just use {X_UACTLINK}.
