Could not register new user

Hi I have a problem with one of my sites. New users can't register, the message is : could not register new user.

I use version 2.013_1

I checked the database, that seems to be ok. I checked other forms of registration but always get the same message.
Funny thing is that the other site with XOOPS 2.013_1 doesn't have this problem.

Any answers?

I could not find the error and got no respond here, so I asked the support department of onsmart.com (my host) to look at it. They found it very quick :

Based on the error, it usually mean the script version is not match the version in database. Have you edited any file, and used any hack?


I know that I did not delete this column user_lang by hand
Any suggestions what might have caused this, and how to solve the problem elegantly?

XOOPS 2.0.13 doesn't have a user property called user_lang... How did that get in there?

The field user_lang has created with smartlanguage from Marcan.
You can install the smartlanguage 2.0.3 version

I don't know, I looked at the full version of 2013_1 now and I did not find this user_lang.
This site is in two languages, therefore I use the hack of marcan.

But, I also did not find it here (in the MySQL commands)


So, for me the easiest now would be to remove this insert of user_lang into the database.
Where can I find the commans that insert the data into the database during the registering process?

Thank you for your answer, I installed 2.03 of ML (actually the update from 2.02 to 2.03) and updated the module smartlanguage of course.

I found user_lang now in the french version of the changelog of ML, I don't understand french this well, but as I understand it, there seems to be a bug in inserting this user_lang into the database (version ml 1.4.2)

Pffff found it, user_lang was still present in kernel\user.php
Something went wrong with updating my site, user_lang is nomore needed in the last version of ml.
