Can someone tell me how to make a link in XOOPS to a local file vs a URL???

Also, can arguements be added and how ?

Example:
Adding a link to launch the game Countertrike from my web site, but lauch the game from your computer when you click my link.

Closest I've got, but no work of course...

<A HREF="file:///C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/WoW.exe" ></A>

What this does is try to open, as in edit WoW.exe, not launch WoW.exe.

Any advice?

You cant really execute anything from a web browser like that.
It just doesnt work, security maybe?
