Hi all:
I've moved my site from one host to another (db and site files)
The URL remained the same, but the path and db connection changed .
I've modified the mainfile.php for the path and since the database should still together with the site file on the same server I remained the connection as localhost.

BUT when I access my site , it showed an error telling me can't connect to the database , error on class/database/databasefactory.php line 34....

I'm using XOOPS 1.2

Any thoughts ?

Thanks

The user name and the password of the database are probably different than it used to be...

for example, with one of my hosts, the user name is simply the username, but with another host, the user name is my login id for the service and the user name.

1st host: dbuser
2nd host: adrock_dbuser

same goes for the db password...

check any documentation your host may have on their phpMyAdmin set-up, or call them and ask for the correct format to use for the user and pass when accessing the DB

Good Luck! and happy xoopsing!
