"Changes from last visit" stats (in block)

AFAIK, there are not big problems to detect, when registered user was on site previous time (previous for current active session).
I want to be able and show something like


Since your last visit there have been
no|X news items,
no|X new articles,
no|X comments,
no|X forum posts,
no|X forum topics,
no|X new site members
...

Blue data is expandable with plugins for monitored modules, undelined text are links to corresponding data

Is it reacheable? Please advice (or write code )

This would be a great project indeed! But would this require cross-module coding?

Don't think so... Collect data from different modules... but - a lot of pluggable modules do it now
