To upgrade from 2.2 to 2.2.1 and then 2.2.2 I only need to overwrite the existing files whit the new ones contained in the upgrade patches?

And update the system module in the modules administration page.

or use the 2.2 to 2.2.3 direct patch and update the PM, Profile and System modules after uploading the files.
