As the title says I'm looking to hire someone to upgrade my live XOOPS site without content lost (such as articles, members, footers etc..). Site has about 6 modules installed and I'd like these all upgrade to the newest verison if possible. If interested please send an e-mail to ibschu @ gmail.com with a quote. Payment will be 50/50 over paypal. TIA

What do you mean "with content lost"?

Upgrading a straightforward site, such as yours appears to be, is quite simple... normally.

Any reason, aside from time, that causes you concern???

My hosting company is still using 2.0.9.2 on their fantastico panel and I'd like to upgrade to a better version.. but I find all the documentation for upgrading to be way over my head and I'm also afraid of losing all my content.

Please visit www.lansingsportsrage.com and give me an idea how much it would cost to upgrade.

I'd like to upgrade my website from 2.0.9.2

I would like to offer some advice. Save your money. Get Warpig2's upgrade tutorial and just upgrade to 2.0.13.1. I think there are about 4 upgrades here that are pretty easy. At least this way you won't risk losing so much. I would wait until XOOPS 2.2 and greater have been throughly tested before doing anything unnecessary.

Just my opinion

This is just my 2 cents after upgrading a few sites...

Just upgrade to 2.0.13.1 for now and wait it out for a little longer. There are still some bugs that need ironed out and some module compatibility issues.

After the h**l I've gone through with the MyWebResource site, I'm holding off on upgrading the remainder of my clients until things smooth out a little, which I'm sure won't be long.

As mentioned above, maybe you could study the tutorials while things get ironed out. Your best bet would be to download a free standalone server, like XSAS or EasyPHP, replicate your site locally, then practice the upgrade. Thoroughness will be the key. I replicated my site locally, but I didn't go through it as thoroughly as I should have. BIG mistake.
