Install all files in the html folder.

1. Rename the html folder to what ever folder you want to upload to.

2. If you have a site already running remove the install folder and mainfile.php.

3. Use FTP to upload to server.

4. If it's an upgrade run xoopsupdate.php.

5. That's it. Enjoy!

I'm assuming you didn't over-write your mainfile.php file. If that is the case, then you will have to edit the file again to reflect your instalation environment, if you follow what I mean.

Let us know how it goes.

Youre assumption is correct. I made sure not to overwrite my mainfile.php. And, I tripled checked to make sure all variables (dbname, path, etc.) are correct...

I've searched an searched and found plenty of people with the same error - just no solution...

BTW,

is there a way to migrate only the Database?

I have a back-up of my 2.0.13 db - I'd like to just update it to 2.2.3 and then do an export with phpMyAdmin.

Then I'd like to import just the contnet into a new empty 2.2.3 dB...

My upgrade was quite some time ago and I can't remember how it went. I do remember it being a little different then from the past and I didn't run into any troubles.

I really don't have nything of value to add here unfortunately because there have been some rather sticky issues with the recent upgrade path, many of which are just plain baffling, even to the veteran users.

If you can, whioch I hate to reccomend, could you hold off on the upgrade, or revert back to your 2.0.13 instalation?

For right now, your best solution may be to hold off for a little while longer until some of the issues have been sorted out.
