Hi,

If I try to install a module, I get a blank page and this error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in c:\appserv\www\dataciti\modules\system\admin\modulesadmin\main.php on line 50

line 50 refers to this line:
!$Globals['xoopsSecurity']->check()

Installing other modules brings me to the same error message.

I've seen the other posts and they don't seem to help my problem. I first noticed that I didn't have a xoopsSecurity classfile, and copied one over from another installation that I had, but that didn't do anything.

Suggestions? Thanks!

which XOOPS version?
which module?

Are you sure your XOOPS installation is ok?! Are ALL the files present? The same for that particulary module?

this is XOOPS version 2.0.9 (i know, very old, but the company that i'm doing this for has had trouble upgrading and doesn't want to deal with it now)

the module i'm trying is pical (the newest version)

where can i see which files i'm supposed to have?

As for the installation. From what I can see, it's installed correctly. I can update my account, I can send private messages to myself, but can't change anything in the administrative menu.

in my modules table, I only have "System" entered

thanks for your help!

You will probably have to upgrade XOOPS to use the latest version of pical.

But what about the other modules? I can't even install the modules that came with the installation.

It doesnt make sense. Is this a new installation. If so go to the latest version of xoops. The most stable 2.0.13.1.

If it is an old installtion try to update the system module.
