Has anyone else had this problem?

When I try to upload/attach a file when posting a message in CBB, if the filname's extension is upper case, .JPG for example, the upload fails. If I change the case of the extenstion to, .jpg for example, the upload works just fine.

Is this a shortcoming of the way MIME types are handled in XOOPS 2.0.1X, and 2.2.2?

This is (was?) a known problem with XOOPS image manager. See this thread. There's a link to a fix in there somewhere. Perhaps the same code is used for CBB uploader?.
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.

Indeed it used to be a problem where the extention of a file was case sensitively compared to a lost of (lowercase) extensions=>mime-types.
Maybe the module you are referring to has based some of it's code on the uploader.php file.

Thanks for the replies. Got really busy for a few days and just getting back around to this problem.

I'm going to look at the suggested links now...
