Hi
Its going to be my 3rd "Little Help" thing

Here is my problem.

In my config, I set
"Calc rule for building thumbnails = Put in specific size square" and the size is 105 Pixels.

1) When i upload any JPG/gif the thumbnail resize to (105*xxx) means it sets to Width=105 and "height=auto". I tried every option but result is the same.
For (285*468 gif it creats 105*175 thumbnail)

3) Rebuild thumbnail don’t create thumbnail for .gif file.

It shows like this

1) checking 2.jpg ...673x516 .. 105x81 ... created a thumbnail.
2) checking 3.gif ...285x468 .. 285x468 ... failed making a thumnail. copied.


So i again seek your help :)

its working correctly, try and use NETPMB or Imagemagick to do thumbs instead of GD

Ok, it looks like GD2 doesnt support GIF.

When I changed to Image Magic, creating thumbnail for gif works.

Ok for the moment, i disallowed upload of Gif files. BUT still how to get a thumbnail of Fixed width and Height???

From the settings, First two opitins are working fine but for third one (Put in specific size square) There is some problem coz it works the same way as (width=fix & height=auto)
(Or may be i m miss understanding the thirsd opition)
But I want to get 110*110 (Fixed for every size)

Sorry Everyone,
Once again, It proved to be a mistake on my part.

If someone found it helpfull,
I was miss understanding the opition "Calc rule for building thumbnails = Put in specific size square"
At actually look which one is larger (height or width) and then resize it accordingly.

I changed it in functions.php and now it works fine.

I think i need years to understand how things work here
