Which version of XOOPS are you using?

When you turn on PHP debug do you get any error messages when you try to login?

i upgraded it from version 2.0.10 to 2.0.12a and still had the same problem now i have ugraded it to version 2.0.13
and it give me the follwing
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /var/www/html/include/functions.php on line 145

First thing to do is upgrade to the 2.0.13.1 version with the upgrade fiels.

Second. Download the Full package and upload the /include folder entirely. I suspect a corrupted uploaded functions file. Anyway I've always solved any errors on my sites by reuploading the error prone files.

I would follow Lance's instructions above. Seems it may be a corrupted file.
