Help. I need to include external web pages into my XOOPS environment. I've played with the various modules that claim they do this (iContent, TinyContent, etc), but they all seem to require the html page to be stored locally, but I admit it's possible I am mis-interpreting the instructions.

I need functionality like the "PostWrap" module for PostNuke. A module that displays an externally hosted page inside a XOOPS block or Frame. I don't want to create a local html file and "wrap" it, I want to point at an external web address and have that page (or pages) displayed inside my XOOPS pages.

Why?
I want to use XOOPS for a corporate Intranet and need to incorporate several existing Internet applications into a single user experience. In this scenario, you can understand that I don't care about search engine optimization. I also don't care about theme support for these external URLs. All I want is for the user to "see" all the applications without leaving the ZOOPS environment.

Any help offered is welcome.

use an empty XOOPS module then have an:


inside the index.php

I can't get this to work.

I am not a PHP programmer so I quickly hit a brick wall. I had some experience with PostNuke and the PostWrap module is so simple, it's almost embarassing. You simply go to the admin form, type in the external URL and give it a name. After saving, the name appears in the menu and when you select it, the external site is displayed inside an iframe inside PostNuke. Pretty cool.

I was hoping that something like than exists for Xoops.
