How do you run a java script in a block?

When creating a custom block, simply put in the <script language="JavaScript1.2">
...
</script>

and set the block for html...

It is trickier however with XHTML, because you have to escape the single quotes i think or reference a file with the .js code in it.

I have already tried that with no joy. I am trying to implement that in version 2.2.1. Does that make any difference?

well, is your template HTML4 or XHTML based?

I havent used 2.2 yet with Javascript in a block, so i cannot say much about that.


Also, what is the javascript code? is it something you can show a sample of?

For example, I could try to get it to work on a 2.2.1 site if I saw it.

Thank you for you help. I am using xhtml and it works fine a closer look showed a type thanks.
