I know this has been asked before since I've searched and read the forums; however the only information I found was on how to clone a module. Since I'm a XOOPS newb I gave a shot at cloning xcGallery.

It semi-worked, but I'm no genius. Any clones already available for download like with wf-channel?

Sorry, till now i never heard nothing about.
But I guess it would be great having one xcgal clone

BTW> If u r really needing a second gallery image U could use another one together with xcgal and give a try to myAlbum, It?s easyly clonable from "factory".

Thanks for the reply, I'm trying myAlbum as a second image gallery, I guess it'll do the job for now.

Hello,
i've successfully cloned "xcGallery RC 1.1".
i'm using it on my website.
one with access for anonymous, and the other only for registered members.
post here, if anybody is interested by the clone :)

Here is the cloned module :

ftp://ftp2.blueteen.info/blueteen/xcgal2.rar (259 ko)

unrar, then install it as others modules :)
there are no big changes, only number '2' added to some variables, to avoid conflict with original module.
tell me if there any problems.

Hello,
scuse me, but here is a new version of the clone of xcgallery.
download it, and update old version of the clone (and re-generate template).
i've modified some things and corrected a bug.

when xcgal and his clone are installed together, user's profile doesn't work (userinfo.php provides blank page on XOOPS 2.0.13)
this bug is corrected (by changing the name of some functions used in xcgal)

i've modified all smarty's variables (there were conflicts with xcgal original, in XOOPS debug php mode)
For french, german and english languages.

and i've renamed also, all .html files (template).

this clone of xcgal is now fully autonomous.
