I have modified mainfile.php for the root, virtual path and db settings, and i know for sure these are correct!
On the new hosting my db names are not exactly the same due to the hosting being different, but I have changed the details in mainfile.php

but still the script cannot connect to the database. re you ABSOLUTELY sure the settings in mainfile.php are correct. and that the database is up and running?
