Is it possible to downgrade from 2.2 back to 2.0.13?

no but i actually did fix mine by editing the database manually and using a working upgrade copy as a base tim send me a PM and i will give you my instant messenger screen name and can help you get yours up and running.

Same with me. On my 7th update (this one was a full install). I now get the dread error.php?c=XOOPS_REFERER_BLOCKED.

I have the site set a trusted... it worked for awhile during setup and test; then the error. Any ideas???

I have tried accessing this site from multiple machines using different firewalls. I get the same problem.

I deleted and reloaded the systems files-- problem remains.

On IE I get the referer error;
on Firefox, I am unable to access admin.php (which worked for several hours before it quit). I continually get the message:

This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed.

I'm out of bright ideas... any help???

Mark, that message appears when the adminmenu.php file is not there in the cache/ folder. Make sure your cache/ folder is writable by the system. Otherwise, I wouldn't know at the moment

Skalpa is looking into the referrer blocking and port issues now, and we're working on a fix. Please be patient. In the meantime: when upgrading, please push the 'upgrade' button only once!

I just tried an upgrade from 2.0.13 to 2.2 on a localhost (port 80 tho) myself, and it worked like a charm (except that I had to re-set all blocks, but that's not too bad considering the reports here). I'm trying to verify as many reports as I can, so we can fix the bugs asap

Hello Herko,

There was no adminmenu.php...cache was writeable. I am completely baffled.

For now I'm doing a roll-back to version 2.0.13.

I will then re-try the update.php approach. This is my son's site and he'd like access to his 'stuff' and he'd like the new admin section in v2.2

I am happy to communicate directly with anyone working on these problems. I have developed a number of work-arounds for some of the glitches I've seen (you may have noticed my updated v2.2 upgrade instructions).

Anyway thanks. At least the problem isn't easy (obvious??)! That makes me feel a bit better.

Hi everyone...

Here's what I've learned.

1. The problem site is running on a server with 6 version 2.2 sites (my sites). None of those sites have/ had the same problem.

2. I did a complete v2.2 install after the referrer error first occured; this failed to fix my problem.

3. Next, I rolled back my site to v 2.0.13 and did a complete install of the old version, including a new DB build. That was successful.

4. I then did a complete version 2.2 XOOPS update from the clean rebuilt version 2.0.13 and succeeded.

This site is now operational and I have no idea what the problem was...

Hi!

It seams i run into same problem.. I updated to 2.2 and everything looked fine until i tryed to go to admin center.. I get only white screen.

Please guys can someone help me out what can be done to make admin center work?

That 'fix' worked. However, you should use the new release of XOOPS 2.2.1.
