Well, I haven't been able to get this module to work yet either. Worse yet, when I uninstalled the module, it removed tables that, I thought, were associated with Extended profiles. I find this to be really strange since none of these tables had anything to do with private messaging, in particular, the user's website. Furthermore, if private messaging is a seperate module, why do you have to go into extended profiles to edit the permissions.
I'm sorry, I'm normally one of the first people to step up and be supportive of everything the core team does, but the private messaging module, and the extended profile module are tremendous steps backwards for XOOPS IMHO. The old (2.0.13) PM and Profile feature were limited, true, but they were stable and intuitive. These new versions are none of the above.
Yes, I know, don't complain unless you're prepared to fix it. To that I say, if I could, I would.
I'm still a huge fan of XOOPS and I still love it, and will continue to use it. I just hope they get the bugs worked out of these two very important modules.
Best Regards,
James
Insanity can be defined as "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."
Stupidity is not a crime. Therefore, you are free to go.
