Re: 2.013 > 2.2 Update breaks site

I agree, and will add it to my tutorial until there is a fix for this. gzip and XOOPS only does any good on the admin side and has a negligible effect on the user side. This is my understanding from the devs on this subject. So in reality there is no actual need to use it.

I have this error also :(

I did close my site prior to doing the upgrade but I did not have gzip enabled.

The script seemed to go well but when I tried to log in I got the "incorrect login" error.

Are there any other reasons for this to be happening and anyway to fix it??

OK I finally updated my site!!!
Well... 3 simple things is must do!
1. gzip off
2. defaut language is english
3. DON`T turn off your site offline

then run ../xoopsupdate.php - click submit.
After that You must see a lot of commands it`s OK.
When I had set polish as default language, ther wasn`t any instalation log dispalyed...

Maybe this info help someone.

One thing to remember, there has been problems reported if running XOOPS with gzip enabled in System Admin - Preferences - General Settings. If attempting an upgrade disable this first to prevent problems.

I've exdhausted all that and decided to give up on XOOPS 2.2. The alternative CMS with WYSIWYG editing I installed has blown my socks off

All the best with your endeavours. It's been fun.

I too have had this very problem. Is there any hope for recovering my site at this point?
