Hi,

I've looked at configuring 'Images' under 'System' . I notice that it asks how I would like to store my images as 'Files' or as binary "blob" data. What should I select. XOOPS says that I cannot change this after I have selected a particular option.

Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, storing images as binary "blob" data requires storing the images in the database. Since this would require a query to your DB server every time an image is requested, I see no benefit to using this option unless you are very limited on storage space, but have a ton of DB space; which is very unlikely.

Hope this helps.

Insanity can be defined as "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

Stupidity is not a crime. Therefore, you are free to go.

I have just upgraded my site to 2.0.13 from 2.0.? - via a fantatstico script - since then my images have behaved inconsistently . I do not want to move to 2,2 until the module support is stable. is the image problem a bug with this build ? I know the images are present because they appear incosistenly in different browsers.

my Question is does storing images in the db better for upgrades - or is it module specific ( RM-- * , Headlines, WF-channel) OT my headlines / rss feed went AWOL too

Apart from that XOOPS - I would recommend this as a good foundation CMS
