Hi,

Thanks for the advice - the modules are very good although I can't see an upload button so that I can upload files from my local drives - there is only a URL field for downloads.

Are there any other 'Downloads' modules that would feature this function?

Hi,

I am looking for an alternative to the standard 'Downloads' module in XOOPS. I would like users to be able to browse for a file on their local machine and then upload it into the XOOPS part of my site.

Any help would be appreciated.

Formatting in Blocks

Hi,

have created some custom blocks, although if format my text with a colour or embolden text - the text is no displayed with the formatting. Also how do I use the code <> button.

Modules

Hi,

I'm trying to install some modules into my XOOPS site, After downloading the modules from the XOOPS module repository, I unzip them and FTP them to the Modules directory on my site. When I go to the module administration area of XOOPS it tells me that there is a module error, and yet I've uploaded the module into XOOPS!

What files exactly make a module? - what files do I need to upload? I am using XOOPS 2. ? How do I establish the compatibility of a module?

Headlines Module

Hi,

What exactly is the 'Headlines' module for - and how does it work. I've installed it and added an RSS feed. But all I get is the title of the site with the RSS logo next to it, although it doesn't seem to do anything.

Hi,

I've added a link to some text in a block on the top page of my XOOPS site, the problem is that it opens in a new browser window, how do I get it to open in the same browser window as my XOOPS site?

Default Theme

Hi,

I've added a block to my top page in XOOPS and am using the default theme. the only problem is that there is a rectangular box around any text I add.

Any ideas why this is happening, how do I prevent this happening.

I've included a screen grab below:
