Yes, I have installed the hotfix.
After I activated a new (myself registered) user,
i logged in to my site width the activated user "diplayname" and not with the activated user "username", so I always got an error login.
In xoops2.2, it is impossible to login with "displayname" instead of the "username", isn't it?

So that is all...

Displayname = name displayed on page, username = login name. You are right they cannot be interchanged.
