Hi

I wonder if someone can help with these problems...

(1) After some of my members have registered the system is setting them to inactive. (I only know this because they are set to inactive in admin)

Neither they nor I can get into their profile to set them as active.

Any ideas how to fix this. When you search for the member they don't show up on the search.

(2) After some of my members register they cannot login. We cannot find out what the problem is. Any ideas?

When you search for members there should be a tick box to show only inactive members. Once viewed there should be an option to set them active, delete, or resend e-mail.

Hi JD .. thanks for answering

On the admin side .. yes you can find inactive members, and yes there is a tick box but only to send them an email.

I cannot find anywhere in admin where I can set them to active or delete the account so that they can start again

On the user side there is no search option for inactive members.

Can you try to send the user a new activation e-mail. Just make sure that you include "X_UACTLINK" in the e-mail body.

I see some options are missing in the new version.

In the admin, go to Modules --> Extended Profiles --> Users

In the ‘Edit User’ click on ‘List’. Then select the user and click on ‘Add'
Back again to the ‘Edit User’, click to ‘Edit' and you got it ! (one by one…)

I hope that is what you want.

Comment: I believe that both “Extended Profiles” as well as “Private Messaging” are too complicated, far away from the ‘Members’ and ‘PM’ we use to have…

Hi,
I am trying to register me as a new user.
So i compile the registration form width username and password and email data, then I submit (xoops2.2).
Then I login to my site as administrator and I follow your istruction to activate my precedent "user" registration profile: succesfully.
But when i logout from administrator, and i try to login as the just activated user, I get a "Incorrect Login - NONE" error.

What about it?

Thank You for your attention and sorry for my english.
Daniele.

I'm very sorry, please do not reply to my precedent post: I was logging in with diplayname and not with username!!

My Profile module is now working correctly (I hope...)
Daniele

Have you install the "Hotfix"?

Also, are you using the "Username" and NOT the "Displayname" when loging in?

What a confusion !
