ok, I;ve done that. The site is now open but theme is all screwed up, how can I change it? I can't get into admin.

You can change a theme in Recovery.

Take a look at your [xoopsprefix]_users database table, see if there's a field called 'loginname'.

You don't need to run any queries, just look at the table using phpMyAdmin.

I got into the recovery page and chose a different theme but when I go back to the home page its still the same theme.

There isn't a file. Looked in djmix_xoop1 in the database list.

Go to recovery.

1. As a default theme select "default"
2. As an admin theme select "default"
3. As a default template set select "default"
4. Turn on PHP debugging
5. Submit!

Now try again ... maybe you should try deleting all the files in templates_c directory before.

So in PhpMyAdmin you selected djmix_xoops1 from the dropdown list on the left? And in the list of tables (also there on the left) did you click once on the [yourprefix]_users table?

That will show you a list of fields (in the main page), and if we're lucky the loginname field will be amongst them...
